The current deadline for the EMV Compliance is April 16, 2021. According to the Petroleum Equipment Institute, retailers big and small are pushing hard for the deadline to be pushed one final time, through October 2021. This push is being requested as major equipment and service providers are booked through summer with EMV upgrades. The original deadline was October of 2015 and has already been pushed multiple times. If you are thinking that you want your business EMV compliant, the time to act is now.

USDA Funding for Biofuels Infrastructure

USDA announced this week $100 million in funding for infrastructure through the Higher Blends Infrastructure Incentive Program (HBIIP). This program seeks to market higher blends of ethanol and biodiesel by sharing the costs to build and retrofit biofuel-related infrastructure such as pumps, dispensers and storage tanks required to compatibly distribute and store biofuels containing more than 10% ethanol (such as E15 or E85), or more than 5% biodiesel.
