A Year of Helping Our Neighbors

Hoidale makes a conscious effort to be a hands-on community member by remaining committed to improving the health and wellbeing of our neighbors. This year, through volunteer work, community engagement, and collaboration with The United Way, we have helped raise money, awareness, and the spirits of our neighbors by focusing on improving our community's Health, Education, Financial Stability, Nonprofit Assistance, and Community Investments. Steve Dixon, president of P.B. Hoidale Co. Inc. and the 2021 board chair for United Way of the Plains, writes more about the changes made in the recent Wichita Eagle article. "As the 2021 chair of the United Way of the Plains board of directors, I have never been prouder of our team for developing innovative ways to help our neighbors and enhance our impact, despite the lingering effects of the pandemic." USDA announced this week $100 million in funding for infrastructure through the Higher Blends Infrastructure Incentive Program (HBIIP). This program seeks to market higher blends of ethanol and biodiesel by sharing the costs to build and retrofit biofuel-related infrastructure such as pumps, dispensers and storage tanks required to compatibly distribute and store biofuels containing more than 10% ethanol (such as E15 or E85), or more than 5% biodiesel.
